Bird and Other Wildlife Photography

Birds and bird photography are our main interests but we are happy to try and help with any wildlife subjects.

We will take you out for a day to any of the areas in the Algarve, Baixo Alentejo or SW Spain that are described on other pages of our website. We will also be pleased to discuss photographic tours of longer duration taking you further afield. Popular destinations are Namibia, Tanzania, The Gambia, Florida, Texas, California, Arizona, Morocco and Oman.

All of the images on this website have been taken by Peter. He has been a keen digiscoper for several years using a Swarovski AT80 HD telescope and a Nikon Coolpix 4500, but these days more often uses a Canon DSLR. The image on this page was one that caught the eye of the judges in a digiscoping competition organised by BirdWatching magazine and sponsored by Nikon. It was taken in Texas, one of our favourite destinations for bird photography.

Birding in Portugal & SW Spain

Whether you’re in the Algarve just for the birds or here on a family holiday and would like a day out, why not join us. Experienced birder or a beginner, it doesn’t matter.

We can provide an enjoyable visit to some of the best sites along the coast or take you further, to the Alentejo or even into Spain and Doñana National Park.

If there are any particular species you are looking for, the chances are we will know where to find them.

We suggest you contact us well before your visit to check on our availability and avoid disappointment, but who knows – we might be able to take you birding tomorrow!

Wherever you are staying we can collect you and return you. We recommend early morning starts for the best results, but that’s up to you.

We will normally take a maximum of three people at a time but whether it is one, two or three people the cost is the same. We can also cater for larger groups.

For longer distance outings, for instance to the Alentejo or Doñana National Park, in addition to our normal fee, we ask you to cover our fuel cost.

On a full day trip we can provide a picnic lunch if required for a small additional charge.
